What is the Graduate Route Visa?

The UK Graduate Route is a post-study work visa that allows international students who have completed a degree at a UK university to remain in the UK and work (or look for work) for up to 2 years (3 years for PhD graduates).

Application Process

Confirm graduation – Your university reports your successful completion to the UKVI

Apply online at the official UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI) portal

Pay the fee – £822 (plus Immigration Health Surcharge if applicable)

Biometrics – You may need to attend an appointment

Receive your decision – Usually within 8 weeks
